Essence of Ireland come to Exmouth

A lively musical and dance extravaganaza is coming to Exmouth Pavilion on Thursday, March 5. Essence of Ireland - set against the backdrop of Ireland, England, America and Spain - traces events from the 19th century to the early 1960s. The Exmouth show will feature performers from a local dance school alongside the Essence of Ireland cast.

Salteron Drama Club in rehearsal for Prescription for Murder.

Salterton Drama Club’s next production will be Prescription for Murder by Norman Robbins. Directed by Mary Logan, it will be staged at the Salterton Playhouse from Monday, March 2, to Friday, March 6, at 7.30pm, plus a matinee (no evening performance) at 2.30pm on Saturday, March 7.

Exmouth Players has announced its next production. Following the recent success of The Wind In the Willows – “the jolly pantomime with whiskers” – the society has chosen to stage a completely different kind of play in March.

Centre Stage – the award-winning youth theatre company based in Exmouth – has announced its next musical production.

Exmouth Players' production of Wind In The Willows opens on Monday, January 19 and runs until Saturday January 24 at the Blackmore Theatre.

Exmouth Players welcomed capacity audiences at the Blackmore Theatre for their recent production of The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame, adapted for the stage by Alan Bennett. Often described as a ‘pantomime with whiskers’, director Peter Nickols-Rawle resisted the temptation and played it straight, creating believable characters and innovative ideas for staging and costume.
