ENERGETIC and innovative local singing group Vocal Accord will be offering an evening of a cappella songs at their annual summer concert on Monday, July 2.

The event will be raising money for the Chemotherapy Appeal and takes place at Heanton Punchardon Parish Church from 8pm.

One of North Devon’s newest choirs, Vocal Accord promises ‘a repertoire perfect for summer’ that will encompass a wide variety of music in close harmony style.

This could include funky jazz or lively contemporary numbers, traditional folksongs, madrigals and classical works revived and given a fresh, updated sound.

The group was founded by Barnstaple couple Simon and Becky Chappell, who are passionate about singing and have a wealth of musical and choir experience.
