The Queen’s Theatre presents pianist Martin Roscoe and Sinfonia Classica on Sunday, January 27.
AN OUTSTANDING concerto of Russian romance is promised at the Queen’s Theatre inn Barnstaple on Sunday.
Internationally renowned solo pianist Martin Roscoe joins Sinfonia Classica for a night of top classical music from 7.30pm.
Sinfonia Classica features hand-picked artists from all over Europe, while Martin Roscoe has performed with the likes of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Symphony Orchestra.
As part of the Russian romance season they will be performing Grieg’s Holberg Suite, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 2 in B flat, as well as Tchaikovsky’s Elegy for strings and Mozart’s Symphony No 40 in G minor.
Tickets range from £20, but cost just £5 for the under 25s, as part of the theatre’s ongoing efforts to promote classical music to a younger audience.
