This year’s Honiton Festival kicks off with county favourites the Devon Youth Jazz Orchestra on Friday, May 8, at 7.30pm, in St Paul’s Church, Honiton.

Four Girls Four Harps

One of the world’s leading harp quartets, 4 Girls, 4 Harps, will be appearing in Honiton at the weekend.

A solo singer is a rarity in itself at Seaton Music, but members knew they were in for a concert with a difference when pianist Andrew Daldorph appeared dressed as Franz Schubert might have been in 1827, and baritone Alexander Poulton came on from the back of the hall also in period costume.

As part of the Honiton Festival in May, there will be a saxophone workshop given by the Borealis Saxophone Quartet.

Coming to Exmouth Pavilion

There’s a wide variety of music coming up at Exmouth’s venues during the next week. Eat The Rich offer high-powered country rock at The Beach this evening (Friday, April 17). Other gigs tonight include roots and blues from Hip Route at the Grapevine and a splash of rock and roll from Rocket 88 at the Park.
