Well known local choir join the Band of the Royal Marines for a special charity concert in Ilfracombe.
JOIN the famous Band of the Royal Marines plus North Devon’s own Military Wives Choir for a charity concert in Ilfracombe this May.
Leading maritime charity, Seafarers UK, is bringing the renowned band plus special guests the Military Wives Choir, to the Landmark Theatre on Sunday, May 13.
The concert is one of a series of Royal Marine Band concerts run annually by Seafarers UK to raise funds for their beneficiary charities in the maritime sector.
Military Wives Choir, made famous by their appearance in Gareth Malone’s BBC series The Choir and their own efforts, need little introduction in the region.
Their debut single hit the Christmas number one spot ahead of X Factor winners Little Mix, raising £504,000 for armed forces charities in the process.
Their first album, In My Dreams, topped the charts in March and its success will also benefit the Royal British Legion and SSAFA.
