DON’T miss the spectacle of Santa and the Queen’s Theatre pantomime cast arriving in true festive style at St John’s Garden Centre in Barnstaple on Friday, November 30.

He will pull up outside the centre at 5.30pm and after greeting assembled families and children, will make straight to his Winter Wonderland grotto to catch up on some serious seasonal work.

Members of the Robin Hood panto cast will be on hand to entertain the crowds, before joining them inside to meet their fans and have a laugh or two along the way.

Always a popular event for Barnstaple families, as ever the St John’s Santa Launch will also include plenty to see and do, not to mention a bit of late night shopping and the opportunity to pick up a Christmas gift or two.

There will be plenty going on to keep the whole family amused, with real huskies to hug, balloon animals to take home for the youngsters plus fairground rides and the chance to enjoy Winter Wonderland, the Christmas incarnation of Jungleland.

The café will be open throughout the evening to enjoy a bite or a relaxing drink.

The garden centre will also be unveiling its annual musical Santa Band display – once again the theme has been shrouded in secrecy but all will be revealed on the night.

Visitors can make a donation if they wish, with all proceeds going to this year’s chosen charity, the North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal.

Santa will be in his grotto from 6pm. A £5 visit includes a gift and miniature Christmas tree. Santa will be at St John’s on several occasions in the run up to Christmas – check in store or visit www.stjohnsgardencentre.co.uk
