The Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe and The Plough in Torrington host a new comedic production from Studio Theatre.

A casket comedy of grave proportions is coming to Ilfracombe as Wife After Death plays at the Landmark Theatre this Friday and Saturday, March 1/2.

The latest production from Studio Theatre is also being staged at The Plough Arts Centre in Torrington on Tuesday (March 5).

It tells of Dave, a successful television comedian and national treasure, devoted husband, a model client for his agent and a staunch friend to his faithful gag writer.

So when Dave unexpectedly pops his clogs, these close companions are left bereft…. initially.

Choking back tears and protesting their love for Dave, the mourners set about exploiting his comic legacy for all it’s worth.

It was created by television writer Eric Chappell of Rising Damp fame and is directed by Bob Corwin.

Studio Theatre’s cast are Cecily Blyther, Ben Crocker, Kerra Dagley, Su Scott-Goldstone, Lin Wheelan and Robert Zarywacz.
