North Devon U11s have started their season in style

North Devon District U11s cricket team made a stylish start to the season in their new kit when they played South Devon at the Barnstaple and Pilton ground.

Better known for his association with Barnstaple Rugby Club, Andy Gubb has deviated from his first love over the winter and done a great job coaching and managing the district U11s side with the help of Mark Overton, Joe Witheridge and Barney Huxtable.

The eventual outcome of the U11s initial match was a losing draw for the North Devon boys, but this creditable performance represents significant progress for this young side.
