U8s keep battling

18:34 22 January 2013

Brixington Blues 3, Honiton U8s 1

Lympstone 6, Honiton U8s 2

Honiton FC U8s tackled and worked hard against Brixington Blues and only lost 3-1, writes Garry Osborne.

With Isaac Lidster in goal and Liam Osborne at the back Brixington found it hard to breakthrough. New signing Mason Doble worked hard with Harvey Hayson in midfield.

In the second game Honiton faced Lympstone and kept up the hard work but with only six players got very tired and found themselves 6-0 down with 5 minutes to go. The boys never gave up and amazingly pulled two back. Manager Osborne and coach Dave Hayson were very proud of them and embattled Isaac Lidster got Player of the Day for a great goalkeeping performance.
