Archant

A men’s friendly against arch rivals Madeira resulted in a win by two rinks to one and a better total shot difference for Sidmouth Indoor BC. Brian Barber, Dutch Holland David Ingyon and skip John Mason were the most successful rink, write Marian and Maurice Watson.

The ladies had a three-rink away game against Axminster and won 56-42 with the best rink being Betty Farmer, Mary Bristow, Jenny Fricker and skip Eileen Stribling.

In a mixed friendly against Dawlish, Sidmouth won the game despite losing on two of the three rinks.

Well done to Betty Farmer, Margot Beauchamp, David Fairclough and skip Mike Reader for securing another win for the club.

Unfortunately two games, a ladies against Padbrook Park and a mixed against Isca were cancelled by the opposition.
