Things are hotting up in the Francis Clark Devon league top flight with at least six teams now involved in the scrap to avoid dropping down to the A Division.
The top flight table, with five games to play and 100 points to be won, sees just 29 points separating second bottom Budleigh from fourth placed North Devon!
This Saturday’s game for Budleigh at Bradninch looks pivotal to their chances. A win in Mid Devon and they would draw ever nearer to Bradninch whilst defeat would mean one less team for them to catch in their bid to avoid the drop.
Art then other end of the table Exmouth head into their game with third bottom Sandford knowing that a win at Creedy Park and similar the week after when bottom side Heathcoat - who have won their last two – would set things up gloriously for an August 11 meeting with Bovey Tracey.
