The Sidmouth Under-13 squadron ventured out to Mid Devon last Sunday for a tricky encounter with the mighty Crediton, who were eventually beaten 17-5.

Crediton Under-9s powered their way to an 80-5 success on their visit to Crediton.

As any sportsman will tell you it hurts to lose, it also hurts to lose by one point, it hurts even more to lose by one point in the last two minutes of a game and it hurts a lot to lose when it was the best team that lost, writes Robert Baugh.

Rugby Union in East Devon received a major boost today when Exmouth RFC was chosen by the Rugby Football Union to become a Lead Up and Legacy Centre for the 2015 Rugby World Cup which is being staged in England and Wales.
