Madeira have completed another season of Indoor bowls with the playing of their various Club Championships.
The main event was the men’s Singles and this year the winner was Terry Reardon who edged out Mike Gorman by three shots to win 21-18.
The Dora Wilson 2-wood Triples was won by the trio of Fay Hughes, Christine Macaulay and Jan Roberts who defeated Janet Allen, Deirdre Norman and Carole Worth 23-7.
The Bob Caddy 2-wood singles was landed by Catherine King who defeated John Flockhart by three shots at 21-18.
In the Frank Deves Mixed Pairs there was another close encounter with just three shots spearing the teams. Nicky Fiddimore and Mike Gorman triumphed 16-13 over John Flockhart and Annette Flockhart.
In the Grace Matthews 2-wood Singles there was a resounding 16 shot victory for Jan Roberts who defeated Jill Perrin 18-2.
The Ladies Self Select Triples produced a 16 shot victory for the trio of Liz Smerdon, Christine Macaulay and Sue Harriott as they defeated Jill Perrin, Shirley Smith and Annette Flockhart 23-7.
The Bob Burch Open Singles was claimed by Joh Flockyhart as he edged out Ian Bellingham 23-20. In the Men’s pairs there was victory of Jon Bradford and David Macaulay who defeated Colin Hughes and Mike Gorman 24-15.
In the Gooding 3-wood it was a mighty close affair with just a single shot between the teams after a titanic battle that ended in a 16-15 victory for Fay Hughes and Shirley Smith over Pat Cain and Christine Macaulay
