fourteen members of Lyme Regis Sea Angling Club fished at Charmouth, from 6pm until 11pm, competing for the best aggregate specimen percentage.
The rain held off for the competition and the sea was clear and calm, but fishing was hard even though dogfish, pout, ballan wrasse and pollack were all brought to the scales.
Peter Williams won with a specimen percentage of 137.1, second was Ben Male with 83.81 and third was Darren Herbert with 79.64. Jake Bagwell just missed out with a total of 79.44.
The next match is on April 25, at Lyme Regis for most number of species.
