Mike Searle then struck an unbeaten 48 and there was a knock of 47 from Dave Chamberlain as Whimple got home with seven wickets and plenty of overs to spare.
Whimple skipper Ben Silk said: “Hopefully this victory will kick-start our season. It’s a been a while coming, but the weather has played a big part in our season.”
Whimple are set for only their second home game of the season – weather permitting – on Saturday with the visit of Seaton.
