Exmouth Town chalked up a fifth successive outing without a win when they drew 2-2 with visiting Budleigh Salterton (for a full match report and comments from both camps get this coming Thursday’s Exmouth Journal)

The wheels have somewhat come off the Town bandwagon going back to the moment it was announced that the Southern Road outfit would not be taking promotion if they were to finish in a top two berth.

At that time Town were sat second behind champions-elect Liverton United.

As a result of the draw Town slip to fourth, seven points short now of second placed Stoke Gabriel who have announced plans to request promotion if they finish in a top two spot.

The Robins sit 11th in the table.

The big East Devon news on a busy Good Friday was the 3-1 triumph for Axminster Town at Ottery St Mary.

That was only the second win of the season for the Tigers and takes them above the Otters who now sit below everybody else in the South West Peninsula league table.

Good Friday results:

Alphington 1-1 Exeter Civil Service

Exmouth Town 2-2 Budleigh Salterton

Liverton 4-0 Newton Abbot Spurs

Okehampton Argyle 1-1 Crediton United

Ottery St Mary 1-3 Axminster Town

Stoke Gabriel 4-0 Galmpton United

Teignmouth Town 5-0 Totnes and Dartington
