CS Juve 1, Exmouth United 9

Exmouth United powered to an emphatic win in Mid Devon.

The opening exchanges were very even with neither side creating any clear-cut chances.

The deadlock was broken when Adam Wilkinson struck to put United ahead.

Will Dean doubled the lead before James Gill made it 3-0. Some superb passing play ended with Dean setting up Gill for his second and the final word of the half fell to Dean to send United into the break with a nap hand lead.

Three minutes after the re-start Gill sealed another hat-trick and Dean quickly followed with his third of the game.

The home side then scored a consolation goal with replacement keeper Sam Appleby having no chance of keeping it out.

United skipper Sam Cox and Sam Balbi then traded passes in an up-field sortie that ended with Balbi netting his side’s eighth. Last but not lead, Wilkinson finished what he started with the tenth and final goal of the game.

Ben Daffin had a fine game for United and was unfortunate not to get his name on the score sheet.
