The final Saturday of November was a complete washout across the Fresha Devon and Exeter league.

Not a single ball was kicked – or splashed - in anger after the heavy rains put paid to every single one of the matches scheduled across the nine divisions.

One local side did play, one of just four youth teams across the entire Exeter and District Youth League to see action on a soggy Saturday morning, and that was Brixington United Under-14s who battled back from 4-1 down at half-time and then 5-2 down to be edged out by the odd goal in eleven on a superb surface at Kentisbeare in Mid Devon.

The only other youth team game to be played was an Under-11 fixture at Bradninch where Sidmouth Raiders shared six goals with their hosts.

Read a match report on the Brixington United game in the next edition of the Exmouth Journal – out on Thursday, November 29.
