Exmouth Under-12s were heavily beaten by visiting Cullompton.
One big bonus for the young Cockles coaching staff was what was clearly a greater emphasis on collective effort than had been seen the week before against Taunton.
In that visit to Somerset the Cockles were turned over with the hosts scoring nine unanswered tires!
Against Cullompton there was plenty put in by the team in terms of tackling and battling commitment, but the visitors are a powerful side and were able to run in eight tries whilst, for the second week running, the Cockles had no tries to show for their efforts.
Up at Taunton the Cockles Man of the Match was Martin Joubert for sticking at the task in hand until the very end.
Against Cullompton the accolade went to Tom Bray for his effort and doing a very thorough job, playing out of his usual position.
