The Withycombe RFC award winners at the 2012 Presentation Evening

Withycombe’s Annual Dinner and Awards night took place last Saturday night at Raleigh Park.

The festivities lasted long into the night with a superb dinner prepared by Eat with England’s and Karaoke and Disco.

The annual awards were presented by Ceri Lewis and were as follows, Players Player - James Perkins, Top Try Scorer - Neil Williams, Coaches Award - Dave Richards, John Passmore Award - Chris (Fridge) Gibbons and Jo Parkin, Most Improved Player-Chris (Fridge) Gibbons, Dave Betts Award – Lee Tanton and the Clubman of the Year – John Annerdale. Neil Williams also picked up his Ist XV team tie in recognition of him playing 50 times.

A special award was presented to Lisa Long for her outstanding work raising funds and sponsorship for the Club.

There were also champagne moment awards made to the Withycombe front row and Bren Mardle.

It proved to be a great conclusion to a fabulous season that left everyone leaving with enthusiastic optimism for the coming campaign.
