Firefighters sent to rural back road near Churchinford.

Firefighters from Honiton rushed to the aid of woman who was reported to be trapped in an overturned car.

Two fire appliances from the town were sent to a back road near Churchinford at lunchtime today (Thursday) after an accident.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service says a vehicle was on its roof with one female inside, but not physically trapped.

A spokesman said: “Crews helped the female out of the vehicle and made the vehicle safe.”
