FUNDRAISER LUNCH: This year’s series of Estuary fundraising lunches is getting under way at St Margaret’s Church.

The first lunch will be organised by the Estuary League of Friends, and takes place on May 4 between noon and 1.15pm.

EXTENSION PLANS: Plans have been submitted to extend a Topsham home.

The plans are for a ground-floor extension to be built at Towerfield in Clyst Road.

The plans will now be considered by Exeter City Council.

MUSIC NIGHT: Topsham Rugby Club is hosting a night of music to raise funds for its new clubhouse.

TOPSPOT will feature live performances from Willie and the Bandits, Dumber than the Average Bear, and Secrets for September.

The event takes place at the rugby club on May 5, with bands on stage from 7pm until late.

Food and a licensed bar will be available.

Tickets cost £15, and are available from the Topsham Bookshop in Fore Street.

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST: Topsham Allotments and Gardens Society has announced it will be holding another photography competition during this year’s town fayre.

There will be three categories – the beauty of plants, a garden scene, and work and play in the garden.

The fayre takes place in August, but snappers are encouraged to start thinking about their entries now.

PLAY CRICKET: Topsham St James Cricket Club is holding a registration evening for the upcoming season.

It takes place tomorrow at Bonfire Field, Exeter Road, Topsham, between 5pm and 8pm, to coincide with the first colts’ training session of the year.

The club has four adult men’s teams, playing on Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays, a county-champion ladies’ side, and various youth sides for boys and girls.
