Jake and Ian Goodenough of The Destination Lounge are celebrating scooping four "Sandals" at the 2011 Sandals STAR Awards.

The Destination lounge is named top UK agent by luxury resort chain.

THE Destination Lounge in Barnstaple has been named Top UK Travel Agent by luxury Caribbean resort operator Sandals at its annual awards.

Owners Jake and Ian Goodenough have won several accolades at the Sandals Travel Agency Recognition (STAR) Awards, but this year the honours went through the ceiling as they picked up four gongs at a lavish awards ceremony in Jamaica.

The small agency was up against high street branches of some of the biggest travel agents in the UK, but since the business began almost six years ago it has gone from strength to strength.

The Destination Lounge is operated from their Barnstaple home and via their website. In the past year they have recruited Suzie Jeanes, who brings yet more experience to the agency.
