13:49 22 November 2012

Hooded male allegedly smashed the car window to steal the part from a bag on the seat.

POLICE in Barnstaple are searching for a man responsible for stealing a wishbone part in a bag from the seat of a car parked in Concord Drive.

The window of the blue Ford Fiesta was smashed by the suspect at about 7.40pm on Friday, November 9.

The man then ran off down the access footpath towards Chichester Close.

He is described as being six feet tall and of slim build. He was wearing a light coloured hoodie with a motif on the front and was aged in his mid to late teens.

The wishbone was for a Ford Fiesta and is unlikely to be of much use to an opportunist thief.

Anyone who has any information is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting crime reference CB/12/3610.
