SAVE Our Sidmouth (SOS) campaigners braved torrential rain on Saturday and returned to Knowle – forming a ‘human chain’ to show how much of its gardens could be lost to bricks and concrete.

Protesters descended on East Devon District Council’s headquarters to again show their opposition to plans to build 50 dwellings and a 60-bed care home.

The event was organised by the Knowle Drive Residents’ Association.

The fate of an outline planning application for Knowle will be decided on Tuesday (December 4).
