Pony rescued from pond

Specialist rescue team called to the scene.

A Shetland pony had to be rescued by a specialist team after becoming stuck in a small pond at Combe Raleigh.

Firefighters from Honiton together with a special rescue team responded to the incident, which occurred today (Monday) at 3.34pm, and helped to free the animal.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the crews used one line to rescue the pony.
