Trish is ‘lost for words’ after forensic experts restore her ‘blank’ manuscript
POLICE have solved the mystery of the missing words – and saved a blind Charmouth woman’s debut novel.
Trish Vickers, 59, set out to write a book in longhand but later discovered she had completed 26 pages using a pen that had run out of ink.
But forensic officers from Dorset police saved the day when they used specialist techniques to bring back the words from the impressions the pen had made in the paper.
Ms Vickers said she was really grateful they had gone to so much trouble. working in their spare time to recover the document.
