Honiton Community College hosts its very first Christmas dinner for senior citizens.
Pensioners in Honiton were served up a special Christmas treat by students and staff at Honiton Community College.
The college hosted its very first senior citizens Christmas dinner on Wednesday, which included a three-course meal and sherry reception.
Despite guests arriving 10 minutes ahead of schedule the event went very well and was enjoyed by all.
Presents, including gifts made by students, were given out during the event.
Entertainment was provided by the college’s staff and student choir, Bawn This way, and the college band. There was also a sing along and performance of an extract from the recent college production of Richard III.
Guests enjoyed soup to start and a traditional turkey roast with seasonal trimmings followed by Christmas pudding with clotted cream or sherry trifle.
The college joined forces with the Senior Citizens’ Centre to organise the dinner.
