A FEMALE passenger required the help of ambulance crews after the car she was travelling in left the road on the A39 near Welcombe Cross this afternoon (Friday).

A fire crew from Hartland, plus police and South Western Ambulance Service paramedics attended the incident just after 4.20pm.

When the fire service arrived, the paramedics had been able to get the passenger out of the car.

The car is thought to have been the only vehicle involved in the accident. There are no indications at this stage as to any injuries sustained.
