A combined services wreath has been laid at Budleigh Salterton’s War Memorial, marking 30 years since the Falklands War and honouring the fallen.
The wreath was laid by five-year-old Miia Hunt, the granddaughter of former mayor Caz Sismore-Hunt and Budleigh’s poppy appeal organiser, Glenn Sismore-Hunt.
Every year, Miia supports the armed forces by helping her grandparents and going door-to-door and selling poppies.
Glenn Sismore-Hunt said: “Last year, we laid a combined services wreath for the Battle of Britain and this year we laid a wreath marking 30 years since the Falklands.
“We want service personnel and their families to know that the people of Budleigh Salterton remember.”
