An EXMOUTH schoolgirl and her father have completed a triathlon with a difference for Sport Relief.
Jazz Hoe, 12, and her father Rob, 44, of Holland Road, cycled from Exmouth to Darts Farm and back, before rollerblading for four lengths of the seafront, and swimming a mile at Exmouth Sports Centre.
Jazz, who attends Exmouth Community College, and Rob have so far raised £358 in sponsorship – far more than they expected.
Rob said: “Last year Jazz did a sponsored skate along the seafront, and this year she thought she had to do more or people wouldn’t sponsor her.
“Before we did this I could only skate about half a mile, and I hadn’t swum for three years, so I found it quite hard going. But we had so many people sponsoring us we felt we couldn’t let them down.
“It was a hard challenge, but as soon as we’d finished Jazz said ‘What are we going to do next year?’.”
The pair are still accepting sponsorship donations at my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/jazzhoe
