If Elizabeth Hall stood on Budleigh Salterton seafront, would Mr Tim Wood and the rest of East Devon District Council’s non-indigenous councillors be getting such an easy ride with their wishes?

Just look at the long-running Longboat Café farce to see just what can be done or undone. Rightly or wrongly, I take my hat off to Budleigh residents’ resolve in fighting for their beliefs. As for Mr Tim Wood and his harebrained ideas on Exmouth; town champion? I think not.
