The fire service has revealed a list of hundreds of rescues crews carried out in Devon and Somerset when torrential rain battered the South West

The fire service dealt with more than 500 incidents in the last 24 hours, mainly between 8pm and 2am when overnight on Saturday torrential rain lashed across the South West. The total number of rescues from floods by the fire brigade in the last five days has reached more than 1,200.
