Fire fighters called to gas leak in Barnstaple

Two fire crews arrived at the property on Monday afternoon.

TWO fire crews from Barnstaple were called to a property in the town this afternoon (Mon) after reports of a gas leak.

The crews arrived in St Marys Road at 3.10pm to find a leak from a defective gas cooker.

Two fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus made the premises safe using a hosereel jet and a gas detector.

Fire crews also isolated the gas supply.
