Well done Exmouth! You know how to party.
The Exmouth Festival and Jubilee Celebrations are now over and it is time to say a big thank you to our fantastic Exmouth Town Council Team, Exmouth Rotary Club, volunteers, etc, etc. Keep Calm and Carry On comes to mind, despite the torrential rain and high winds.
There are obviously many people to thank but I would like to particularly mention Carla Hiley, arts manager, for organising her first Exmouth Festival, Suzanne Birkett, town management project officer, for organising the lovely Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration in the Strand and Colin Poole, our newly appointed town clerk, who had ultimate responsibility for all the public celebrations, and found time to build an amazingly tall beacon at the Geoneedle, and organised the screening of the London Jubilee Concert on the Strand. Also to be thanked are all the communities who got together and organised street parties, barn dances and competitions and decked the streets and themselves in red, white and blue. Well done Exmouth!
