Brixington toddlers who have only just learnt to walk were amongst those who helped raise almost £500 for Sport Relief.
Twenty toddlers from Jim-Jams childcare and five from Kiddiwinks childccare joined at least 30 parents for the event in Phear Park.
The event ‘Kiddiwinks in Jimjams’ saw the children walk, and cycle around the park in their pyjamas to raise £485 for the charity.
It was organised by Gemma Botham, 27, of Jim-Jams, and her husband Daniel with Natasha Cross of Kiddiwinks.
Gemma she said: “It went really well.
“I thought that as soon as we got to the park the children would want to go off and play, but they were all really good and knew what they were there to do.
“It was really successful and we raised more than our target and I would like to make this an annual event; I was very pleased.
“I would like to thank the tennis centre in Withycombe, who let us use the centre, and gave the children free juice and biscuits and for Exe Entertainment for providing the face painting.” You can sponsor them at: http://my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/jimjamscare
