A Littleham charity has received a much-needed cash boost to help its work with families.
The Littleham Family Activity Centre, which runs sessions based at the community hall, received £1,520 from the Co-operative Membership Community Fund.
The donation was timely for the centre, which had been running low on funds.
The Co-op’s John Wood said: “They only had £6 in their account the month before our donation, and I thought that was a sad story, because it’s a really good cause, doing a really good job.”
The centre’s project manager Kathryn Stedman said: “This money has come at an excellent time for us, and we’re planning for the future knowing we’ve got some money towards our running costs.”
