Boundary fence backed

TOWN planners have backed a two metre fence surrounding a Brixington property despite objects from neighbours.

The owners of 29 Durham Close have applied to retain and extend an existing fence around the boundary of their property.

But neighbour Mr M Parry from Durham Close said: "...my wife and I brought this property some 22 years ago with the clear understanding that this was, and was to remain an open cul-de-sac.

"It is of our opinion that this two-metres-high projection...will be unsightly...forming a dark alleyway along the side of our home and render our side garden totally unusable."

However the town's planners raised no objections and the plans will no go on to be considered by district officers.
