MAEER FAMILY TREE

iI am researching my husband family tree. Any information would be an assett.His great grandfather was Samuel Maeer born 1841 in Axminster in Devon. The son of Herbert and Adelaide Maer.He married Sarah Cornelia Sweetland on the 1st Jan. 1874 in Lyme Regis Dorset.Her second marriage. She was born 19th April 1845 in Charmouth. Dorset. There children where...... Adelaide Susan Deliah Maeer.7th Nov 1975. Matilda 28th Jan 1879. Sarah Rebekah Jane born 1 Aug 1880. Samuel 1 Aug 1883. David Robert 10th April 1886. Dear Lynfa Maeer,

I am a descendant of Emmanuel Bampfield Maer, son of Herbert and Adelaide Elizabeth Maer. Emmanuel was born in 1840, two years before Samuel Maeer. According to what I have found, Samuel was born in 1842 in Salconbe Regis Devon. It's a tough tree to follow as in my family, the spelling of the surname changed six times since 1648. I gathered most of the earlier history through two trees on www.ancestry.co but will not be able to verify it personally until I make a trip to Salcombe Regis. I have seen references to the family name(s) going back to the 1500's.

My Mother was a Maeer, Dorothy Minnie Maeer daughter of Albert Edward Maeer and JuliaMaeer. Albert came from the Sidmouth
area and moved to Bournemouth Dorset.
His first marriage the children were Dorothy,
Edward and Queenie and then my grandmother died and there were six more by a second marriage. Are we related to any of the Maeer's in Devon? Mother's date of birth was 18.10.1907
