650 New Houses & linked bypass for Axminster
Reply Quote

Could we perhaps get a discussion started about how people feel  regarding this issue? It seems that for once I am in partial agreement with EDDC in as much as  they are saying that road and infrastructure studies are required in deciding how many houses should be built and where.

There are  many issues involved concerning the additional 650 houses/homes.Axminster is currently short of doctors, dentists (NHS) and the area is already stretched providing  health care. Availability of water supplies, sewerage, power good roads and additional town parking are all yet to be discussed. Yes, there is a need for a bypass to keep heavy vehicles fromthe town centre but i'm sure the council has powers to control the size and weight of through traffic until an agreed  route can be planned and properly funded? Any other comments will be welcomed.

Dear Mr. Sherborne.

My interest in the proposed, (over) building and ring-road pertaining thereto is of interest to me, simply on the basis, that I have a thought to relocate to that area.
Can you forward me any of the more current/acceptable decisions, with situation sites (maps) in respect of both projects.

If this is not within your remit, do be kind enough to inform me of the exact contact address (Royal Mail or other) in order that I am in a position to understand the situation, at 1st September 2008

Yours sincerely,

Edmund Raphael-Beldowski
