This is about a businessman and his family who were bound and gagged and made to lie on the floor after three masked men burst into their home to commit a violent robbery.
I will let you read the online detail yourselves, but basically the businessman escaped and gave one of the robbers, (described as a serial criminal ), exactly what he deserved, with a cricket bat I think-----------the robber got a suspended sentence( ie nothing )------the businessman got two and a half years in jail for defending his obviously terrified family inside the confines of his own home !
Don't think I need to make any further comment about this country's judiciary, ------ do I ?
Re: --Today's headline on The Daily Mail website---
And I will second that, our Judiciary have lost the plot, then I suppose if you are on a judges salary, probably living in a "gated luxury residence" knee deep in security, there isn't much chance of you coming home to find your loved ones being threatened by scroats! So the concept of having to defend yourself would be totally alien to you....They should have given the businessman a medal and commendation from the chief constable, the scroat he apprehended had 50 previous convictions and was intent on harming his family, you just cant make it up can you.. It is criminal to steal a purse, daring to steal a fortune, a mark of greatness to steal a crown. The blame diminishes as the guilt increases
Re: --Today's headline on The Daily Mail website---
This just serves to demonstrate the depths to which this once-great country has sunk! The populace need to take the law in to their own hands, as the police and courts seem unable to do so.
Perhaps the judge should have a stream of people knocking on his door, walking in and telling him they are going to help themselves to his goods and chattels - he won't, of course, be able to do anything to stop them - will he??!!

Eh? What are you on about? The Police have never been able to take the law into their own hands and hopefully will never be charged to do so!

I apologise if you failed to understand the intent of my post - I assume you would be happier were I to have written, 'The populace need to take the law in to their own hands, as the police and courts seem unable to sensibly uphold the law.......'

It takes more than that to offend me - no apology needed. I even understood the intent of your post.
So - we need to take the law into our own hands then ........ ?
