It is with great sadness that I read in today's "Journal News" of the two Royal Marines facing court over alleged charges of assaulting an Afghan man in Afghanistan whilst serving there. My sadness, is that whilst these two men are under the glare of the media and caught in the Jaws of the "do gooder PC brigade" , no one will be "appearing in court" for the murders of 100 members of our armed forces, who will not be coming home to their loved ones ever! Isn't it strange how you never see a plethora of "legal aid sharks" taking on cases against those who murder our troops! I wonder what politically motivated "do gooder" is trying to nail these two brave men? I wouldn't like to think it was anyone who has seen what they have seen and risked life and limb to try and restore some law and order to the stinking hell-hole that is Afghanistan.
Good luck to the both of you!
It is criminal to steal a purse, daring to steal a fortune, a mark of greatness to steal a crown. The blame diminishes as the guilt increases
