Inadequate Gritting of N Devon Roads-A361 North Devon Link Road remains unsafe during icy weather
So, nothing changes eh???
People injured (some v.badly with lifelong consequences), several accidents, road closures, ineffective gritting procedure. Plus......
.....Responsible public asking sensible questions (ref Mal Green's Letter to the Gazette last week ....'Where were the gritting lorries?'.....).
YET NOTHING IN RESPONSE FROM SOUTH WEST HIGHWAYS nor DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL!!!!!
Why am I surprised?
So, I would like to invite other, regular users of the A361 North Devon Link Road to contact me so that we can try to bring the power of numbers into affect. Let's try to get clear commitment-to-change from those in control.
Please don't be reassured by about the high activity from the gritters publicised during the recent snows. Those conditions were different and predictable, unlike the hidden menace of black ice in a clear, cloudless conditions
Otherwise, it's not difficult to prophecy an increase in death toll.
